Happy Pioneer Day!

These two are the sweetest little buddies.  This was Addy’s first time sleeping at the cabin, and it turned out to be a rough night for her. Carson will be the first to tell you all about it and make sure everyone knows that Addy had a rough night.

It’s always so much fun to go to Panguitch on Pioneer Day and enjoy all of the festivities!

We started our day with the Lions Club breakfast, and it was as delicious as ever—Boy Scout pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and juice.

After breakfast, we found a spot to watch the parade. It was really hot, even at 10:00 in the morning!

We still had fun watching the parade.

Carson was really excited to get some candy.

I went out and helped him get some more. He was pretty happy with his candy haul!

The Panguitch 24th of July parade is always lots of fun. At the end of the parade, they drive through and spray everyone with water. It was definitely needed because it was so hot! It’s always a fun way to end the parade.
Jason's niece Tina came over from Cedar City with her two girls Lainey and Kodee.  It is always good to see them.
After the parade, Jason went up to the cemetery with his sister Stephanie to do some upkeep on his parents’ grave.  Claire, Hayden, and I did some shopping along Main Street.

Every year the Panguitch Fire Department has a lunch that is a fundraiser for them.

This year they made Dutch oven pork and potatoes with peach cobbler for dessert.
Yum! It was so good! We always enjoy going and supporting the fire department.

While we were eating, a big thunderstorm moved through. It rained really hard for quite a while. We were glad to be under cover and enjoyed watching the storm come through. It was quite a downpour!

It let up for a little while, so we cleaned up and headed back to the cabin. On our way there, it started raining really hard again. It was a little spooky for a while with the heavy rain coming down. We were glad when we finally made it back to the cabin.

There was lots and lots of water!

It was amazing to see how much water came down in such a short amount of time.

Carson loves watching the hummingbirds.

There are quite a few hummingbirds that love the feeders, and they can be pretty aggressive with each other!
We had fun watching them and seeing them fly around the feeders.

It is so relaxing to sit out on the porch and watch them in the peace and quiet.
We took a little nap, and then decided to go for a ride down to the lake. As we drove, the sky was absolutely amazing, with the coolest rainbow shape. It was such a beautiful sight!

The lake, the sky, and the clouds were all so amazing. The lake was smooth as glass, perfectly reflecting the pretty sky above it. It was such so peaceful and beautiful!

After enjoying the amazing sight at the lake, we headed back to the cabin for the evening. Jackson got the kids bathed and ready for bed, but before bedtime, they decided it was time to get their somersaults on!

They had so much fun tumbling around and showing off their best moves.

They are so much fun!
